DIT software for Windows

Many offload and media-management tools run only on Mac. mmMover runs natively on Windows 10 and 11 and does the core of a DIT job for free.

What it does on a Windows cart

  • Reads the card once and writes it to all your drives at the same time.
  • Verifies every file from disk with xxHash64 (MD5 optional) and shows Safe to format only when everything matches.
  • Writes ASC MHL v2, an HTML/PDF report with thumbnails and timecode, and CSV / Avid ALE clip lists.
  • Renders proxies as H.264 or HEVC on NVIDIA, Intel or AMD graphics, or as ProRes, with the camera LUT picked automatically.
  • Checks your USB ports and names the slowest link, resumes after a crash or power cut, and re-verifies old backups.

Same backups as on Mac

The Windows and Mac versions write the same folder structure, reports and ASC MHL, so a backup made on one is verified on the other.

Requirements

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. A portable zip: unzip and run, no installer, no account. For RAW proxies, install the free decoders from the camera makers (DaVinci Resolve or Blackmagic RAW Player, ARRI Reference Tool, REDline). Copy and verification work for every format; RAW proxies on Windows are still being tested on real cards.
